Dec 1st: Building Resilience Through Mutual Aid

from $35.00

Building Resilience Through Mutual Aid - Presented by Morella Mora

Mutual aid is solidarity, not charity. It’s the practice of communities meeting each other’s needs directly when the systems meant to serve us fall short. From the mutualistas that sustained Mexican and Latino workers to the free breakfast programs of the civil rights era, mutual aid has always been how working people and marginalized communities have survived and organized for justice.

Come share in a space that is grounded in the belief that this is the true system holding our community together. This workshop is a space to honor that work, learn from the movements that came before us, and build the capacity to sustain it.

Tuesday Dec 1st

6-8:30 pm

Chose a ticket price $35, $45 or $55 with 100% of proceeds going to the Puentes Fund, a community fund for agricultural families, with mothers and daughters at its heart. In the first years after high school, whether the path leads to college, trade school, or the work that sustains our valley, the fund helps cover the basic needs that stand in the way: gas, rent, food, books, tuition. No applications, no hoops. Just the community showing up for each other. This is mutual aid in action.
